Skyward review assignment. Review plate tectonics with clay. Notes on earthquakes, We will look at our seismic safe structures and make a list of what needs to be present to make a seismic safe structure. We will end with an activity where students will have to use current data from USGS to create a seismic zone map. Assignment is due by Friday.
Wednesday - Super Volcano with question. Booster movie with pop and popcorn
Thursday Friday Feb. 8th/9th - Day 2 We will start with an activity on liquefaction and then a short demo on tsunami. Students will watch a video about both concepts. We will have time to ask questions about our seismic zone maps. We will look again at usgs to see the current data on earthquakes and volcanoes. Students will start a presentation on volcanoes around the world. The assignment will be on Hapara - mystudentdashboard.com
Hopefully we will not have any snow days to off set our plans. If we do then as always I will be flexible with our work.
